Hey there! Geoff here…
…welcome to my little corner of the internet, my blog, all about How to Make Solar Panels.
So why have I put this blog together?
I’m not a technical whiz kid which is why my son-in-law helped me put this blog together. You see several months ago I decided I wanted to start generating my own FREE electricity from solar power.
I looked at a professional installation and got a few quotations but I was knocked sideways by the cost. By the time I had paid for the installation the Solar Panels would have passed their product lifetime and would have needed replacing. I wanted to SAVE money.
So I decided that I would look at homemade solar panels. I’m quite a practical person and I’ll turn my hand to anything so I thought I would find out how to make solar panels and build my own. I mean how difficult can it be?
Unfortunately this is where I started to have problems and the reason I put this blog together. I had so many problems finding good quality information on how to make your own solar panels that I wanted to help others with my blog.
It wasn’t that there wasn’t a lot of information available it was that the information was very general, not structured or incomplete. If you’re anything like me when I’m tackling a task for the first time I like things to be clear. I don’t want to waste time and money because I don’t know what I should be doing.
I spent quite some time searching the internet, reading magazines and chatting on forums but none of this go me any closer to my goal of building a do it yourself solar panel. Then one day just by chance I was talking to an old friend, were both fans of alternative energy, and we got to talking about my situation. My friend recommended that I take a look at a website that he was using to build his homemade solar panels.

I have been blown away by this little website, it’s absolutely fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s perfect for me because it shows me How to Make Solar Panels with clear step by step instructions which include every detail including which parts you need to buy. The bonus for me is that it even includes pictures and video as well!
As you are reading this I will have finished my first solar panel and will be well on my way to completing my second.
