Hey there! Geoff here…

…welcome to my little corner of the internet, my blog, all about How to Make Solar Panels.

So why have I put this blog together?

I’m not a technical whiz kid which is why my son-in-law helped me put this blog together. You see several months ago I decided I wanted to start generating my own FREE electricity from solar power.

I looked at a professional installation and got a few quotations but I was knocked sideways by the cost. By the time I had paid for the installation the Solar Panels would have passed their product lifetime and would have needed replacing. I wanted to SAVE money.

So I decided that I would look at homemade solar panels. I’m quite a practical person and I’ll turn my hand to anything so I thought I would find out how to make solar panels and build my own. I mean how difficult can it be?

Unfortunately this is where I started to have problems and the reason I put this blog together. I had so many problems finding good quality information on how to make your own solar panels that I wanted to help others with my blog.

It wasn’t that there wasn’t a lot of information available it was that the information was very general, not structured or incomplete. If you’re anything like me when I’m tackling a task for the first time I like things to be clear. I don’t want to waste time and money because I don’t know what I should be doing.

I spent quite some time searching the internet, reading magazines and chatting on forums but none of this go me any closer to my goal of building a do it yourself solar panel. Then one day just by chance I was talking to an old friend, were both fans of alternative energy, and we got to talking about my situation. My friend recommended that I take a look at a website that he was using to build his homemade solar panels.

If you are interested you can find the website here:

I have been blown away by this little website, it’s absolutely fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s perfect for me because it shows me How to Make Solar Panels with clear step by step instructions which include every detail including which parts you need to buy. The bonus for me is that it even includes pictures and video as well!

As you are reading this I will have finished my first solar panel and will be well on my way to completing my second.

If you are serious about learning How to Make Solar Panels then I can’t recommend this site to you enough. You can find it here:

Hey there!

Geoff here. Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

I asked my son-in-law to help me put this blog together because I wanted to share with other people my experiences of trying to learn how to make my own solar panels.

You see I thought this would be relatively easy when I started to look into making my own home-made solar panels. I had looked at a professional installation but the cost was just astronomical, it just didn’t make sense to me how expensive professional installations were. By the time I had recovered the cost of the installation the solar panels themselves would have needed replacing therefore I decided that the only way forward was to build my own solar panels.

Like you are today I started my journey by searching the Internet trying to find ways of how to build solar cells and solar panels. And that is the main reason why I have put this blog together because I had so much difficulty in finding good solid information on the subject. There were lots of websites on the Internet but none of them provided specific information and on some of them the information was incomplete.

I have no technical background but I can do a little bit of DIY around the home so I thought with the appropriate instructions I would be able to build my own solar panels at a fraction of the costs of a professional installation. This would enable me to get FREE energy from the sun to power my home and at the same time save money on my energy bills.

Luckily for me after quite some time researching I was fortunate enough to run into an old friend who shared my interest in alternative renewable energy. Over a coffee we got onto the subject of how to make your own solar panel and he told me about website that he had used to build his own solar panel.

If you are interested you can find the website here:

I didn’t need any encouragement to take a look at this website and as soon as I got home I logged onto the Internet and started to go through the information provided. I was absolutely amazed because I’d not seen anything like this before. The detail was incredible it was exactly what I needed; clear step-by-step, detailed instructions with pictures and video. One of the things I liked was the buyers guide because it tells you exactly what parts you need to buy so you don’t waste any money buying unnecessary parts that you end up throwing away.

I also really liked the way that this website told you before you started which tools you were going to need to do the job. This meant that if you needed to buy or borrow a tool you could do so before you started your build.

If you are serious about learning how to make your own solar panel then I would thoroughly recommend this website to you. I’m currently building my first solar panel using the information on this website and probably by the time that you read this I will have started my second solar panel.

Learning how to build your own solar panels is a pretty tough task!

How do I know?

Well, like you several months ago I was searching the Internet trying to find information on how to build home-made solar panels. I’ve always had a general interest in alternative renewable energy but in particular I find solar power really fascinating.

For a very long time now I have wanted my own solar panels so I could generate free energy for me and my family. The great thing is that at the same time as generating free energy you are also saving money.

Of course like most people I looked at getting a professional installation but after getting several quotations I became very despondent because the cost seemed to be so high. If I had gone ahead it would have taken me literally years to recover the cost of the installation and by that time the solar panels would have reached their lifetime and would have needed replacing. So for me a professional installation just didn’t make sense.

The key I felt to the successful build and installation of home-made solar panels or do-it-yourself solar panels was having the right instructions and guidance materials to ensure that I wasn’t wasting time and money doing things in the wrong way or that were unnecessary.

Like most people I started to search the Internet for ways of how to build your own solar panels but unfortunately most of the information out there is very general and quite often incomplete which meant that after quite some time searching I felt no further forward than I was when I first started. I even joined a couple of very well-known forums that provided information on solar energy yet still after quite a loss of participation I was still no closer to my first home-made solar panel.

I hadn’t given up on the idea of building my own do-it-yourself solar panel but I was certainly very close to putting the idea on hold. Then fortunately for me I got to talking to an old friend who shared a common interest in solar energy. I told him that I was looking to build my first solar panel but was struggling to find a good resource. He suggested that I take a look at a website that he had been using himself.

If you’re interested in taking a look at the website you can find it here:

I was absolutely amazed by this website the detail that is shown is second to none and I have yet to find anything on the Internet that comes close. It includes detailed instructions, buyer guides and even videos. This website literally takes you by the hand and shows you how to build your first do-it-yourself solar panel.

If you’re serious about learning how to build your own solar panels then I cannot recommend this website to you enough. As you are reading this I will have already built my first solar panel and will be getting FREE energy from the sun.

You can find the website I am referring to here:

If you are looking for information on how to build solar panels then you have come to the right place!

Hey my name is Geoff, welcome to my blog about homemade solar panels or do it yourself solar panels if you will.

I’m no whiz kid far from it which is why I had to enlist the help of my son-in-law to get this blog up and running.

See like you several months ago I decided that I wanted to learn how to build solar panels. I’m interested in renewable alternative energy, in particular solar power, but also I wanted to save some money on my ever increasing energy bills.

I did look at a professional solar panel installation because I thought that in a few years the panels would have paid for themselves. Wrong! In fact the quotations I received from companies were so expensive it would have taken some 20 years to repay the installation costs and by that time the products life would be up and would need replacing.

I felt sure there had to be a way to make your own solar panel.

I started looking on the internet and in magazines but couldn’t really find anything that gave me the information I needed. I was looking for step by step instructions. I hate wasting time and money so I needed something that was going to show me every little detail. I felt sure someone out there would have a specification.

I really struggled to find good quality information that I could rely on. In fact at one point I thought about giving up and forgetting the idea of ever building a homemade solar panel.

I had some luck…

I got to talking to an old friend of mine who is also interested in solar power and he told me about this great website that he had been using as a guide to build his own do it yourself solar panels.

If you are interested in taking a look at the website you can find it here:

A personal recommendation – what could be better? I’ve been using this website ever since and I have to say it’s fantastic! It shows you every step in absolute detail how to build your own solar panel. It has buying sheets listing all the components you need so you don’t waste a cent and the instructions even come with pictures and video so if you’re like me, not great at DIY, you can still build a solar panel because of the quality of the information.

If you’re serious about learning how to build solar panels then I recommend you take a look at the website I mentioned earlier. You will not be disappointed! You can find it here:

Finding good quality information on the best way to make solar panels isn’t easy!

How do I know? Well just like you are today several months ago I was trawling the Internet trying to find information on the best way to make solar panels and I struggled.

Don’t get me wrong it’s not that there isn’t a lot of information on best way to make solar panels out there. In fact it’s the opposite, specialist tradesmen, magazines, leaflets, trade shows and of course the Internet. It’s just that the information is very general and if you’re anything like me when I start something that I’ve never done before I like to have clear and specific instructions even better if those instructions are step by step and come with diagrams and pictures something similar to a Haynes manual. J

I really wanted to build my own solar panels because I like the idea of producing my own energy and being self-sufficient. Renewable and alternative energy really interests me in particular solar power. I would of had a commercial installation but the quote I received was just too expensive and it would have taken about 30 years to recover the cost of the installation. I wanted to save money!

I spent quite some time searching the Internet trying to find a great resource so I could make my own do it yourself solar panels. I looked on quite a number of different websites but unfortunately I kept coming up against the same problem the information provided was just too general and in some cases it was incomplete. I found this very frustrating.

I even joined a couple of well-known forums and spent a good deal of time on them trying to piece together enough information to build my do it yourself solar panels. Unfortunately after quite some time I still wasn’t any closer to building my first solar panel.

As luck would have it one day I got to talking to an old friend and we got onto the subject of solar energy as we are both enthusiastic about the subject. I told my friend that I had finally decided to build my own solar panel but was struggling to find a good resource. He told me that he had found a website on the Internet that showed you in detail how to make home-made solar panels.

When I took a look at the website he had recommended I couldn’t believe my luck this website was exactly what I had been looking for and provided me with all information I needed to build my first do-it-yourself solar panel.

If you are interested in taking a look at the website you can find it here:

I have been amazed by this little website. The amount, quantity and quality of the information provided is outstanding. It is a complete guide to how to build solar panels so by just reading this website you can learn how to make your own solar panels and start generating your own solar energy.

My friend recommended this website to me and I haven’t looked back since, it has shown me the best way to make solar panels, like I said you can find the website here:
